ME

My photo
Munich, Germany
I am married to the love of my life and am finally able to shower him with all of the attention he deserves. I am now retired and living the life here in Europe. I am an American, he is an Australian, and this is our second overseas address. The first was Shanghai, China and now Munich, Germany. Come along and live the life with us as we continue our adventure of discovering all Europe has to offer.

RANDOM THOUGHT THURSDAY

  • Hubby forgot we had an en suite bath in the master bedroom upon returning to the U.S. ( It is his first trip back in a year.)
  • Pleased to see that the 5 year-old twin grandchildren can put their own seat belts on, dress themselves, put on their own shoes, make their own beds, clean the table after meals, brush their own teeth, and clean the toys in the playroom each evening.  They are growing up so fast.
  • Gearing up for my 11 year-old grandson to travel back to Europe with me.  Paris for three days and then Munich for three weeks!
  • Disappointed in Mel Gibson......what a creep.
  • Hope I allow enough space in luggage to bring back all of the clothes I bought while I've been in the U.S.
  • I forgot we had a PC, desktop monitor, and keyboard stored here at the house.  It will be great for the grandchildren to download learning software.
  • Getting a new Apple laptop for my photography this week!  Whoo Hoo!
  • Glad the 5 and 6 year-old grand kids can ride their bikes without training wheels and swim the length of the pool.  Thank you, Papa Steve, for all of your efforts.  You are the BEST papa in the whole wide world!
  • My first born will turn 39 on July 31st.  How did that happen?????
  • Swam with the kids this morning and taking my granddaughter out shopping this afternoon. Then meet the guys for "Toy Story 3."  It is way too hot to be outside doing anything today.
  • It's great to come back home and have our own beds, coffee pot, big screen TV, car, etc.  A fully furnished home in two continents makes life so much easier!
  • Son # 2 had the floor of the shed cemented.  He took everything out of the garage and organized it all in the shed.  Now, the garage only has a refrigerator and four locked cabinets in it.  I still can't believe it is our garage it is so immaculate.
  • The house next door sold in two weeks at the "asking price."  We should have no trouble selling our home now.
  • "Inception" tomorrow.
  •   Hubby and son installing third set of locks on all doors.  Five year-old grandson is a Runner!!  He can pick just about any lock.  Thought I'd get him an orange jumpsuit now, he'll need it in the future, LOL!  :-)
  • Out of 50,000 global employees, my hubby just won the companies' "2010 Innovation Award."  (More about this in a future blog).
  • Missed 3 bridge games--hope I still remember how to play when we return to Germany on the 24th.
  • Hubby booked a weekend on Lake Como, Italy for us and our 11 year-old grandson.  (Lake Como is where George Clooney's villa is--I hope to have a celebrity sighting!)
  • Still having "Tour de France" fatigue....

Sounds like you've had a wonderful trip back to the U.S. And soon to Lake Como. I've never been there but would love to go. I've heard it is quite beautiful.
