I am married to the love of my life and am finally able to shower him with all of the attention he deserves. I am now retired and living the life here in Europe. I am an American, he is an Australian, and this is our second overseas address. The first was Shanghai, China and now Munich, Germany. FED EX, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

On Wednesday, August 24th at 1:54 pm, my husband mailed some rather important legal documents by Fed Ex here in Munich, Germany to arrive in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He generally leaves nothing to chance and has been "tracking" the documents since Wednesday afternoon by computer on the Fed Ex website.  Today, he "lost it" when he logged onto the website and found this (read from bottom up.  DE stands for "Deutschland" or "Germany").

Why our papers went to Paris, we do not know.  We do know why Fed Ex is expensive after witnessing a trip over the Atlantic from Europe and then back again.  What is it Fed Ex?  What's the problem?

@HH and Kathy, "I know, right?" Three times over the Atlantic ocean in two days?

I'm going to guess Hurricane Irene. That might have been the most direct route, considering all the Port Authority airports have been closed for two days. But I'll see if you get a better answer:-).

G, that would be understandable if it were later in the week but this redirection happened on Wednesday and the hurricane didn't hit until Saturday. Unexplainable to us.

I don't use FedEx, because my stuff is not important enough:-). But perhaps you can at least get a refund based on how long it's taking?
